YES Academy Mazar-i-Sharif Afghanistan
In a program funded by the U.S. Embassy to Kabul, American Voices brought the first YES Academy programs to Afghanistan in the provincial capitals of Mazar-i-Sharif and Herat. Over 150 aspiring young actors and musicians were reached in the course of ten days of activities ranging from Jazz and Classical Guitar to Youth Theater and Music Recording Technology. The participants ranged in age from 8 to 28 and were drawn from Mazar's youth theater programs, universities and high schools.
