Unity Academy Iraq: Hip Hop
In another first for Iraq, Hip Hop dance was taught to all dance and theater students at the Unity Academy
Dance instructors, Michael Parks Masterson and Quae Simpson worked wth a group of over one hundred dancers and actors ranging in age from 8 to over 50. The participants were drawn from the National Folk Dancing Group of Baghdad, Baghdad Ballet, Erbil youth theater groups, Suleimaniya's White Lions and hip hop dancers from Erbil area.
Highlights included performances of Janet Jackson's 'Rhythm Nation' as a grand finale to an unforgettable evening....
