Unity Academy Iraq: Ballet
The planet's bravest ballet company
The Butterfly Ballet Group is part of the Baghdad School of Music and Dance. At the Unity Academy they studied with American Voices's faculty Quae Simpson and presented a twenty minute choreography to Mozart's Concert for Flute and Harp.
For this brave dance company, the Unity Academy offered respite from the difficulties and chaos of daily life in Baghdad and gave the students time to rehearse in peace and quiet.
In addition to their Mozart choreography, they danced in Broadway and hip hop numbers with the other dancers and theater students.
