February 2007 concert and workshop tour of Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa and Beypasari
Turkey: Black History Month Concert Tour

From February 23 to March 1 American Voices artists Michael Parks Masterson and John Ferguson performed a series of workshops and concerts in Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara and Beypasari with young professional dancers and actors in Ankara and Istanbul as well as with youth in Beypasari.

Highlights of the program include dance and musical theater workshops at the National Conservatory of Hacettepe University, one of Turkey's leading educational institutions, and workshops with the music department of Marmara University in Istanbul.

Additionally, the tour featured gala concerts at Istanbul's IMOGA museum, Ankara's Turkish American Association, the Cultural Center of Bursa and the residence of U.S. Ambassador Ross Wilson.

Many thanks to Chevron Corporation for their support of this project.
