Vietnam: Country Western Tour with Jesse Dayton
First Country and Western concerts make musical history in Vietnam
Jesse Dayton and his band raised the roof in Ho Chi Minh
City, Vung Tao, Haiphong and Hanoi! All concerts were greeted by full houses
who demanded encore after encore in Country music's Vietnam debut!
In addition to the sold out performances, the group gave
masterclasses in the Saigon and Hanoi Conservatories on May 10th and 16th for
approximately 100 students at each event.
For a genre of American music not heard live in Vietnam since
the pre-war era and relatively unknown except through recordings, the public
enthusiasm for and understanding of the genre was exceptional.
