Mike Del Ferro Trio with Japanese Bassist Yasuhito Mori tour: Tokyo, Nagoya and Okinawa (September 2006)
On September 12, more than 270 people attended an “American Jazz Concert” cosponsored by the Urasoe Public Library, Urasoe American Corner and the American Consulate General Naha. The Mike Del Ferro Trio, consisting of pianist Mike del Ferro, bass player Yasuhiro Mori, and drummer Sebastiaan Kaptein, performed for more than 90 minutes before a very appreciative audience of young and old jazz fans. The performance concluded with the trio's interpretation of “Hana,” an Okinawa classic.
