The final stop on the Soul of America tour was the bustling city of Managua in Nicaragua.
What was notable, for a city and country held back for over 30 years by earthquakes and civil conflict, was the energy of the apparently booming economy.
Masterclasses were given at the National Conservatory and gala concerts in Managua's National Concert Hall (built by the same architects who built Washington's Kennedy Center) and in the colonial city of Granada.
