Soloist and Ensemble Information

The Porgy and Bess Suite is arranged by R. Bennett for two soloists (soprano and baritone), choir and  orchestra.

American Voices offers a week long project that features the following elements:

- sending choral scores and orchestral materials in advance
- video/DVD recordings from previous projects for study
- providing Ira Spaulding and John Ferguson to coach and do musical preparation for the performance over a 5-6 day period
- provide Ira Spaulding as baritone soloist and conductor for choir

From the participating choir we would request only the advance preparation with own conductor.
