Meetings in Erbil
John Ferguson was recently in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Northern Iraq. There he participated in planning meetings for the Unity Academy 2009 with the Minister of Culture, the President of Salahaddin University and the leadership of the Erbil College of Fine Arts.
In particular, he launched discussions with academic leaders on the budding exchange relationships with the University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music.
The Unity Academy is slated to begin on July 15, 2009.
