Donations: Music Scores and Instruments
Since
1997 American Voices has made over 100 donations to conservatories and
music libraries worldwide in cities ranging from Baghdad to Kabul and
from Tunis to Almaty. In addition, the scope of the repertoire
continues to expand to include orchestral scores, jazz scores and
teaching materials in coordination with our increased activities in
jazz.
Since 2008, we have been working closely with Alfred Publishing and
jazz pedagogue, Jamie Aebersold to donate thousands of scores to some
of the most deprived music schools in the world; School of Music and
Dance, Baghdad, Afghan National College of Music, Kabul and Institutes
and Colleges of Fine Arts throughout Iraq.
