Audrey Vallance
Soprano
Audrey Vallance is based in Houston, Texas where she is a regular performer with the Houston Grand Opera.
Having extensive experience in choral activities, she has directed school, church and civic organizations and produced several full-scale shows with each of them. She also worked with the children at the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre at Theatre Under The Stars as musical director and has written several children’s operas that have toured the schools in the Houston metropolitan area.
Audrey maintains a professional solo career performing in the US, Malaysia, Singapore as well as in Bangkok. In December, 1999 Audrey performed in a concert of musical theatre and big band music at the Marriott Riverside in honor of H.M. The King’s 6th Cycle Birthday.
She has recently performed the role of Laetitia in the opera 'The Old Maid And The Thief' and has continued her directing experience as music director of' Trial By Jury', 'Cabaret', and 'Guys and Dolls' with the Bangkok Community Theatre, adding the family musicals 'Honk!' and 'Annie' to her list in 2002 and 2003..
Her projects with American Voices include soloist and chorus master for 'Porgy and Bess' with the Bangkok Opera and 'Jazz Bridges' in Burma. Upcoming projects include the Philippines and Vietnam.
